It was brief, but it was beautiful.
Our lovely French friends made a short trip to Liverpool in the hope they'd get an insight into the local music scene, The Beatles and our great city. Well, I'm happy to say….they got all of that and much more.
The TV crew wanted to film a 'pre-studio' gathering, where the Silk Pigs discussed everything from their music, the Beatles and the evening ahead. This was an opportunity for the band to showcase their acting abilities. More Hollyoaks than Othello, but fantastic all the same.
After taking photo's of everything in the flat, including the Kettle, our lovely French friends wanted to head down to IGLOO studio. However, before we could even set foot on the premises, they wanted to pay homage to the Beatles by recreating the iconic Abbey Road album cover. Although this was Duke Street and Abbey Road is in fact over 200 miles away in London, the lads did a great job.I thought the Rubber Soul album cover would have been easier to capture, but hey what do I know?
When we eventually got into IGLOO Studio, it was time for the Pigs to show everyone what they do best…………Rock! After an interview with the Pigs, a few shameless plugs about Rash Records and the lads recording their new track…it was time for the crew to head home. There were group photo’s, hugs and a few tears. It had been an emotional 2 hours and we couldn’t believe it was over. Ha, nah…it was like being at school when you got the foreign exchange students coming over to stay in your house.
I believe that something great will come from this, but even if it doesn’t, we have new Facebook
